During my undergraduate studies, I developed a project for the Plate Number 1 EDM: Unit, Family, and System Design course during the pandemic. The project involved designing and creating a range of cookware with detachable handles to improve safety and convenience. I carried out every aspect of the project independently, from design to development, over the semester.
To find the best solution focused on user needs, I created a Google form that over 100 people answered. From that research, I found out that the cookware’s interior design should be inspired by the shape of the Chinese pan WOK, which was mentioned to be highly effective. These accessories were designed to address specific user concerns identified through research, thus ensuring that the final product met the needs and preferences of its intended audience.
